As I mentioned yesterday, I’m on deadline this week, with nothing to fill in. I’ll stop in each morning, but right now I’m one third of the way through a 400 page police procedural. Not really time to read another book to review here.
But, I’m fine, and I hope you’re doing okay today. Sending pre-holiday wishes. Stay safe!
Love the wreath, it’s beautiful. Next on my list to read is The Twelve Dates of Christmas. I baked this weekend and didn’t read much. But the springerles are finished 😊
Isn’t that a beautiful wreath, Christie? That’s why I picked it. Have fun with The Twelve Dates of Christmas.
What a pretty wreath you’re sharing here, Lesa! Best pre-holiday wishes to you as well. It’s cold here this morning. We had very high winds yesterday and I think it blew half of West Texas here to our area. LOL
Thank you, Kay! Sending hugs while you’re sending that cold weather & winds our way! We’re expecting sleet, ice, and rain mixture on Wednesday. Blah!
Nice. We have to worry about a possible 6-10 inches of snow on Wednesday. At least I have plenty of reading material on hand.
Currently reading three short story collections plus Jerry Seinfeld’s collection of the bits he has written and kept since the 1970s, some of which are pretty funny, even on the page.
I hope you and Jackie are all stocked up with food and reading material, Jeff. Take care! I just mentioned we’re expecting a mixture of sleet, ice, and rain on Wednesday. Not fun predictions for either of us. Stay safe & warm!
Looking forward to hearing about the police procedural.
Halfway through, and liking it, Kevin. It’s a debut, and I really like the characters in the police department. Set in northern California for a change.
Very intrigued…..
Such a lovely Christmas wreath & cardinal. We’re lucky to have a cardinals living nearby & feed them shelled nuts that they just love.
You’re book sounds terrific, looking forward to the review. I just finished The Life We Bury by Allen Eskens (my pick for our local book club). Enjoyed the first half but the second half descended into an implausible action movie. And unfortunately for Eskens, out of our 15 readers not one person liked it enough to continue with the series. Afterwards I started reading Murder in Belgravia by Lynn Brittney which I’m enjoying much more 😉
Cold & snowy up here, perfect reading weather. Enjoy the rest of your book!
Cheers
Now, I feel under pressure, Icewineanne, to find another lovely wreath for tomorrow. Not pressure from you, but everyone seems to love that wreath and cardinal. I do, too. I would like to suggest one Allen Eskens book, Nothing More Dangerous. It was one of my favorite books of 2019. I need to read that Lynn Brittney series. I know I’d like it, and I have the first couple in the series.
Thank you! Settle in & stay warm!
Beautiful wreath.
