This may be the most spread out description of a 3 day trip ever. My Mom and sisters and I went to Cincinnati for three days last week. As always, we crammed a lot into 3 days, even a tornado warning.

We left my sister’s and drove to the William Howard Taft Historical site, the site of his family home until he was 18.

After a tour with a terrific guide, we waited out a downpour, and headed to Findlay Market. Unless you’re into a food market, that was a disappointment, but our only one on the trip. On the other hand, I got a great picture of Christie with Mr. Baseball.

From there, we headed to our hotel, Graduate Cincinnati. I can’t recommend it highly enough. The staff was fun and always joked with us. The hotel itself is themed for the city and the University of Cincinnati. I didn’t understand half of the symbols, but, between Christie and the hotel staff, we got it all. I’m sharing just a couple pictures from our room.

I have to say it was weird to have Bootsy Collins on the wallpaper in the bathroom. And, we had to ask who it was.
Our door key cards had Travis Kelce’s picture on them. He and his brother, Jason, went to the University of Cincinnati.

We ended our first day with a tornado siren and warning. We evacuated our room, and went and sat in a hallway without windows. Fortunately, we only had to sit there about half an hour or so. It was a memorable ending to the day.
