This week, I’m giving away two mysteries with library settings. And, what better to start with than an ARC (Advanced Reading Copy) of a mystery set in THE iconic American library? Murder at the 42nd Street Library is Con Lehane’s recent story with a murder in the building we all think of as the New York Public Library. Ray Ambler, the curator of the library’s crime fiction collection, checks out co-workers and visitors to the library while he helps a NYPD homicide detective bring a murder to justice.

In Elaine Viets’ Dead-End Job mystery, Checked Out, Helen Hawthorne quietly goes undercover at a local library to search for a missing masterpiece. After Davis Kingsley died, his books ended up at the Flora Park Library. But, his daughter suspects there was a small watercolor by John Singer Sargent hidden in one of the books. In order to look for the painting, Helen takes a job as a library volunteer. But, she’s soon looking for a killer as well as the painting.

Which book would you like to win? You can enter to win both, but I need separate entries. Email me at Lesa.Holstine@gmail.com. Your subject heading should read either “Win Murder at the 42nd Street Library” or “Win Checked Out.” Please include your name and mailing address. The giveaway will end Thursday, June 16 at 6 PM CT.
