Because I don’t have a book review for today, and I’m saving some of Sandie Herron’s posts, I’m going to refer you to my friend Kaye Wilkinson Barley’s blog, Meanderings and Muses. Kaye and her husband, Donald, just returned from their dream trip to Amsterdam and Paris. In her last couple posts, Kaye provides advice as to what to pack, and introduces readers to a small corner of Amsterdam. I’m sure there are beautiful photos to come in the following days. Check out Kaye’s posts. Meanderings and Muses
Lesa Holstine – you are such a sweetheart!
First this – Donald read your card and said "Miss Lesa should go with us next trip."
So there's that.
There will be more trip posts coming up on Meanderings and Muses, I'm going to be working on Amsterdam Part II today.
Love you to the moon and back, dear one
Kaye
I love you just as much and just as far, Kaye. Hugs, my friend, to you, Donald, and Annabelle.
Thanks for the link. I love the pictures. Amsterdam is one of our favorite cities and it brought back many happy memories of our trips there 40+ years ago. Great people, great food, and great museums!
We also took tours outside Amsterdam, to Madurodam's miniature park, and Alkmaar's Cheese Market (and setting for the children's book THE COW THAT FELL IN THE CANAL), and Haarlem (for the Franz Hals Museum), and to see where they grow and sell millions of tulips each year.
Sorry. It is THE COW WHO FELL…
Also went to Delft to the tile works, and Rotterdam (largest port in Europe), and to a place where we actually bought (and shipped home) wooden shoes, which were surprisingly comfortable.
Oh, Jeff. It sounds as if you had a wonderful trip, too, when you have all those memories to share 40 years later. I really need to go sometime. Adding that to my list. I'd like to see so much of what you mentioned.
