I know this is the day you normally expect Treasures in My Closet for the November books. I’m sorry. I’m just not feeling it right now. I spent the weekend with family, but, like many of you, I spent time worrying about family and friends in North Carolina and Florida. And, we’re helping out some of those who lost everything.
I’ll have Treasures, probably tomorrow. In the meantime, I hope you go back and read a few posts you might have missed this weekend, if you were following disasters instead of books.
Thank you to Terry Shames for taking part in Sunday Spotlight – https://lesasbookcritiques.com/sunday-spotlight-terry-shames/.
And, Terry is the author of The Troubling Death of Maddy Benson, a Samuel Craddock mystery that has a lot to say about today’s world. Check out my review. https://lesasbookcritiques.com/the-troubling-death-of-maddy-benson-by-terry-shames/.
If you’re like me, and, once you’ve taken care of loved ones, you’re still looking for a place that needs a different type of treasure, here’s a list of ways to donate and help, via Blue Ridge Public Radio – https://bit.ly/47VCX0T.
Sending hugs to all of you. We can all use them right now.
I get it. Not feeling it either. And I know things are way worse for many, so I will keep my mouth shut about me and things here.
Kevin, You may choose to keep silent when writing here, but feel free to write me at my email address. I want to hear how you’re doing.
Treasures and the blog can wait. Do what you need to.
It can wait one day, Sandy. You’re right. I just couldn’t wrap my head around writing it yesterday. Thank you.
Yes, I get it. A good friend who died suddenly last year lived west of Charlotte in North Carolina, and we visited her after the Raleigh Bouchercon before going on to Asheville. So we’ve seen a lot of the flooded areas. It’s really unbelievable and awful what is going on.
Good thing there’s no such thing as climate change, right, Republicans?
Right, Jeff? Oh, there’s no reason to suspect a hurricane would hit the mountains of North Carolina because there’s no climate change.
It’s just hard to wrap my heart around it right now, Jeff.
