Well, that was a lost week. I could have read a number of books in the time I was home from work. I was out sick from work just as much time as I was there. I missed Monday, worked Tuesday and Wednesday seven hours, and left work an hour early each day because my eyes were hurting. I did go to the work clinic, got a prescription, but I had a virus and it just has to run its course. I missed the whole day yesterday, sleeping eighteen hours after getting that prescription.

And, when I was at work, I put a Quarantine sign on my office door, and kept it shut. I love my staff. When I finally went back to work yesterday, I found a “Contamination Station” cart outside my door. Loved it!

But, I can’t read when I’m sick. I don’t feel like doing anything, really. I didn’t finish the book I’m reviewing for a journal. I cuddled and slept with the cats. I watched episodes of NUMB3RS from 2006 and 2007.

I think I saw every episode when that TV show originally ran. And, now I’m watching them on ion.

So, without any apology, I have no book review today. I’ll get back on track. I’m glad I was sick this week, though, before it’s time to go to Left Coast Crime. It’s in the 80s in Phoenix, and I hope those temperatures stay. I could use some heat right now.

So, you have two choices today. Tell me what you read this past week while I was sleeping. Or, tell me what you do when you’re home sick and just can’t read.
