Congratulations to the winners of the last contest. Sonia G. from Syosset, NY won Grounds for Murder. Murder with a View will go to Susan B. from Seattle, WA. The books are going out in the mail today.
This week, I’m giving away two thrillers. In Christina Dodd’s Wrong Alibi, eighteen-year-old Evelyn Jones takes the wrong job, working for a man in his remote mountain home in Alaska. When Donald White disappears, she’s left facing charges of theft, embezzlement, and a brutal double murder. She’s convicted, despite her protests that she’s innocent. When she escapes, she hides, but she’s bent on justice. When White returns, Evie emerges to become the hunter. Now, she must untangle the threads of evidence.
Former NYPD undercover cop Laney Bird also is on a search in Emilya Naymark’s Hide in Place. Three years earlier, she left the police force when her cover is blown in a racketeering case. She and her son, Alfie moved to a charming town in upstate New York. But, then Alfie vanishes. Local law enforcement thinks the thirteen-year-old is a runaway. His mother knows he wouldn’t abandon his special routines and the sanctuary of their home. As she digs deeper, Laney discovers links to her former position. But, she has to put all her detective skills together to find her son.
Which thriller would you like to win? You can enter to win both, but I need separate entries. Email me at Lesa.Holstine@gmail.com. Your subject line should read either “Win Wrong Alibi” or “Win Hide in Place.” Please include your name and mailing address. The contest will end Thursday, April 15 at 5 PM CT. Entries from the U.S. only, please.
Wrong Alibi is in my “e” reading queue for this week. I lived in Alaska for nine months and always like to check out stories set there.
Happy Reading to your winners.
Thank you, MM. I know what you mean. I lean towards books set in Ohio, Arizona or Florida.
