Congratulations to the winners of the suspense giveaway. Sophie McKenzie’s You Can Trust Me will go to Connie H. from Sherman, TX. The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson will go to Nancy M. from Joliet, IL.

This week, there was discussion of the PBS TV show, Vera, based on Ann Cleeves’ series featuring police detective Vera Stanhope. So, I’m giving away two of Cleeves’ mysteries. One is Silent Voices, a Vera Stanhope mystery in which she finds the body of a woman in the sauna of her local gym. It appears to be a simple death from natural causes. But, once it’s learned there are bruises on the victim’s death, the police investigation reveals more baffling information as it goes along.

Or, you could win Dead Water, a mystery set in the Shetland Islands. When the body of a journalist is found, Inspector Jimmy Perez is drafted to help Detective Inspector Willow Reeves investigate. Perez’ local knowledge is needed because the journalist once lived on the island, but left years earlier. Now, the two learn he was chasing a story many Shetlanders didn’t want to have told.

Which traditional Ann Cleeves mystery would you like to win? You can enter to win both, but I need separate entries. Email me at Lesa.Holstine@gmail.com. Your subject heading should read either “Win Silent Voices” or “Win Dead Water.” Please include your name and mailing address. Entries from the U.S. only, please. The giveaway will end Thursday, Aug. 13 at 6 PM CT.
