It’s hard to believe it’s time to give away Christmas books. But, the contest will end on November 9; the books will go out on the 10th, and you probably won’t get them until mid-November. So, it’s time to kick off these giveaways. I have two Christmas mysteries to give away this week.
The first book for giveaway is David Rosenfelt’s The Twelve Dogs of Christmas, the book with one of the cutest covers I’ve ever seen. It features criminal defense lawyer Andy Carpenter and his faithful golden retriever, Tara, in a story with Rosenfelt’s trademark humor. Andy takes on a case for a friend who rescues stray puppies. Just before Christmas, a neighbor reported her for having more than the legal number of pets. When that neighbor ends up dead, guess who the murder suspect is.
I love Julia Buckley’s Undercover Dish mysteries. Cheddar Off Dead features a deceased Kris Kringle, and Lilah Drake witnessed the killing. It puts a damper on her holiday spirit. Now, she teams up with a police detective to unwrap the mysteries of a deadly Christmas killer. (Confession time. There are a couple teeth marks on the cover of this paperback. For some reason, at age nine, my cat, Josh, has taken an interest in paperbacks.)
