This week, I’m giving away the first book in two mystery series. The Fine Art of Murder by Emily Barnes introduces Katherine Sullivan, former police chief of Edina, Minnesota. When she returns home to visit her daughter, there’s a murder at the town’s most famous estate. With her daughter acting as criminal defense attorney for the top suspect, she ropes her mother into the case as a special investigator.
Carlene O’Neil introduces a new series set in California wine country with One Foot in the Grape. Penny Lively inherits the family winery, and has help from capable staff. But, it’s the owner of the neighboring winery who really has problems. Someone is spoiling her wine, and she wants Penny’s help, her nose for clues. But, when the body of a staff member is found in a grape crusher, Penny’s niece becomes the prime suspect.
