Congratulations to the winners of the last giveaway. Jill H. from Pittsburgh, PA won Hide Away. Glen D. of Yuba City, CA won What You Don’t See. The books will go out in the mail on Saturday.
I have two more of my mystery favorites from 2020 to give away this week. First is a debut, Katharine Schellman’s The Body in the Garden. Lily Adler, newly widowed, is returning to society in London in 1815. She attends a ball thrown by her friend, Lady Walter. She expects society’s scandal, gossip, and secrets, but not the body in her friend’s garden. Lily plans to leave the investigation to the authorities, but not after she hears Lord Walter bribe the investigating magistrate to drop the case. She teams up with a navy captain and an heiress from the West Indies to find the truth.
Lineage Most Lethal is the second in S.C. Perkins’ Ancestry Detective Mystery series, but don’t hesitate to enter the giveaway for this book. Genealogist Lucy Lancaster is digging into the family history for a hotel heiress, but the death of a man who collapses at her feet while giving her a Montblanc pen leads her into her own family history. Lucy’s grandfather recognizes the pen, and reveals a family secret. As you can tell by the cover, the book will take readers back to World War II. It also introduces Lucy’s grandfather. I just loved him.
Which book would you like to win? You can enter to win both, but I need separate entries. Email me at Lesa.Holstine@gmail.com. Your subject lines should read either “Win The Body in the Garden” or “Win Lineage Most Lethal.” Please include your name and mailing address. The giveaway will end Thursday, Feb. 18 at 5 PM CT. Entries from the U.S. only, please.
Read both of these & really enjoyed them, especially Lineage Most Lethal. What a terrific series that is. And I wouldn’t have known about either series if it wasn’t for your enthusiastic reviews. You always point out fun mysteries worth reading.
Cheers & happy reading!
Thank you, Anne! I’m glad you enjoyed both of them. And, I really appreciate your comments. Thank you!
