Congratulations to the winners of the last contest. Patrick M. from York Beach, ME won the autographed copy of Fourth Down and Out. Susan M. from Williamsburg, VA will receive A Collection of Lies. I’m putting the books in the mail today.
I’m heading to my Mom’s soon to spend a couple weeks. I’m not running a contest today because I’m not taking prize books with me on vacation. But, I will have a special contest next Friday. Ellen Byron, author of the new mystery, A Very Woodsy Murder, is offering a giveaway. Cozy mystery fans might want to check it out. Or, maybe you might want to check it out if you like bears, or if you have grandchildren. You’ll see.
I put a library hold on Ellen’s new mystery. She’s so creative with the ones I’ve read. Thanks for the heads-up.
You’re welcome, MM. I know next week’s contest won’t be for everyone, but it is fun.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading yesterday’s posts of many commenters five favorite books so far this year. I added quite a few titles to my towering TBR list but I know I can always count on recommendations from Lesa and her followers.
I’m a little late to the party, but I’d like to add mine. These were just books that I enjoyed reading so far this year, not sure many of them will make it as my favorite books of the year.
The Comfort of Ghosts (Maisie Dobbs #18) by Jacqueline Winspear
The Dark Wives (Vera Stanhope #11) by Anne Cleves
How to Age Disgracefully by Claire Pooley
The Whole Truth, (DI Adam Fawley # 5) by Cara Hunter
Mrs. Quinn’s Rise to Fame by Olivia Ford
Lesa have a great time at your Mom’s.
Thank you, Susan. Never too late to the party. I’m always looking for books. And, you also have a Cara Hunter on your list. I think she’s only going to get more popular.
