I’m working on a book, I promise! But, after the New York trip, and a busy day today, I didn’t finish. I’m going to give you a sneak peek at my next book for review.

Many of you read David Baldacci, but I don’t think we’ve discussed his latest. novel, which is quite different. Strangers in Time is currently #3 on the New York Times Bestseller list. It begins in 1940 during the Blitz, and introduces three characters. Charlie Matters is almost fourteen, a street survivor from the East End who lives with his grandmother, his only surviving relative. She doesn’t know he quit school, and he just scrambles for food and money. Molly Wakefield is almost sixteen. She’s better off than Charlie. But, she just returned from living in the country, only to find that her parents are gone, and only the housekeeper is at her home in Chelsea.

Then, there’s Ignatius Oliver, owner of the bookstore, The Book Keep. People aren’t looking for a dusty bookshop in an alley during the war. But, Ignatius is trying to keep his late wife’s bookstore alive. And, it’s a struggle.

Version 1.0.0

So, just a tease in case you’re looking for something a little different, a novel set during the Blitz. A departure for David Baldacci, too.
