Believe it or not, this is not an apology for a lack of a book review. You all know I don’t read as much as usual when I’m at Mom’s.
Instead, this is an apology for any problems you might have had with my blog in the last few days. There were times I couldn’t even get into my blog. I know my Mom and sister, Christie, had problems with it. I contacted my webmaster, Erin Mitchell, and she fixed problems. Here’s what she said about the problems.
“It looks like there have been some “brute force” attacks over the last few days. Basically, this means users/servers, formally from foreign countries, either try to log in to the site or send bits of code to try to hack into it. When this happens, the server gets overwhelmed and basically says, “nope!” And shuts everything down for a period of time, usually a couple of hours.
“The security certificate had expired, but it’s renewed now.”
“So everything should be good now.”
So, I hope you’re able to get into my blog when I do have a post.
I’m sorry for your problems.

I hope you can enjoy the rest of your visit and not have to worry about blog issues.
That’s weird. Why hack into your blog?
Anyway, I didn’t have a problem, so… glad it’s fixed.
Also, you misspelled Apology up there.
Have a good day.
Thanks, Jeff! I corrected it. I had to write that several times, so I guess I just didn’t get it right at the end. Thanks!
Something has been going on as I got multiple alerts yesterday that I was requesting to change my password on Facebook. I finally went in and actually changed the password.
Did not see any weirdness at your place, but did see it on other blogs and such.
Yes, Kevin. It sounds as if my blog wasn’t the only one under attack. I ‘m glad yours wasn’t messed up!
Sorry this happened to you, Lesa, but, for what it’s worth, I haven’t had any problems at my end.
I am sorry this happened to you Lesa but I am very glad to hear about it because I have been having the same issue today because my amazon account has been blocked as well and asking for a change in passwords and then adding all kinds of stumbling codes to enter orders and then not accepting them. B ottom line, I cant order from AZ until that all gets fixed. Wondering now if any Christmas orders have gone astray or cancelled or sent to some unknown! Things are getting very complicated these days.
Oh, Pat. I’m so sorry. You’re not the first one I heard about Amazon from. What a mess! Yes, it’s probably all related to the hacking. Darn hackers.
Don’t worry about it lesa, these kind of things happen too the best of us.
Thanks everyone! Just wanted to let you know what was going on from my end.
