That’s great news! Congratulations!
Lesa, thank you for this lovely acknowledgment–and huge surprise. I didn’t know that Splintered Justice had been nominated for a Barry! I’m not only delighted–I’m flabbergasted. My next step after commenting to you will be to write to George Easter, the editor of Deadly Pleasure Mystery Magazine (which I strongly recommend subscribing to) and thank him.
Congratulations, Kim! After Jennifer dropped that note, I tracked down the announcement. I posted all the nominees on Poisoned Pen’s blog, but this was the listing I wanted to post here. Congratulations!
Congrats, Kim!
Thanks for the note, Jennifer?
Yes, indeed. George’s awards are always more in tune with the “best” than the pathetic Edgars nominees IMHO and I’ve already read three of these. Kim, you will have my vote. Congratulations.
I agree. I’ve read a number of the overall nominees; not so with the Edgars.
Have also read three of the nominees. Big time congrats, Kim!
Three must be the magic number as I have also read three. Congratulations Kim on being recognized for such a well written book.
How exciting! Congratulations, Kim!! Well deserved recognition.
Yay! Congratulations, Kim! So well deserved!
Way to go, Kim! And well-deserved.
How exciting to be nominated for this award Kim! I’m so happy for you. It’s going to be a long wait till the end of October isn’t it?
Many, many thanks to everyone for your congratulations and kind comments. I’m very touched! I’m grateful for your support. (And thanks in advance for your vote, Jeff.)
I’m embarrassed to say that so far I haven’t read any of the other nominees, although I’ve read previous books by Coffin, Hunter, and Sullivan. I’d better move these five books to the top of my TBR pile (and get hold of them!)
