As I said, Linda and I went to see “Hamilton” on Wednesday night through Broadway in Columbus. It was our final show of the season. If you only saw it on Disney+ when it was on there, we missed a lot. I had no idea King George made additional appearances on stage, and the final one was funny when he sat and watched the drama.
Anyways, Linda had seen the play before. I hadn’t. We saw three shows on Broadway this year, and the touring shows in Columbus. “Hamilton” was the best show I saw all year. Linda asked, “Better than Gypsy?” I said, yes. Loved Audra McDonald in “Gypsy”, but she was the entire show. With this presentation of “Hamilton”, the dancers were wonderful. And, there wasn’t a weak cast member. It was a fantastic presentation.
I know it’s been ten years since “Hamilton” first came out. If you get a chance to see it live, I urge you to go. The theater was packed Wednesday night with such an appreciative audience. I hope the cast felt the love.

I still haven’t even seen the Disney+ filmed version. I need to at some point if for no other reason that I’ve heard so much about it.
Mark, f it’s not your thing, it isn’t. It’s not for everyone, I’m sure.
It’s so good! Highly rec! We watch it every fourth since 2020 when they put it out on Disney +
You’re right, Melissa. It is SO good!
Sounds great! I know I’d especially enjoy the dancing.
Fantastic dancing, Kim.
So glad you enjoyed it. I saw it in San Francisco in 2017 or 2018. I remember being on the phone for hours trying to order tickets–I actually left for an appointment, came back, and was still in the queue waiting for tickets–matinees were all that were left! My son Nick took the afternoon off (he worked in SF), met me as I got off of BART, and bought me a Hamilton T-shirt at my husband’s request (he was unable to attend because he was getting chemo at that time and couldn’t be in large groups of people). I think I cried through about the first 5 musical numbers because I had the cast album and couldn’t believe I was finally hearing it in person. Great memories.
I loved it, Margie. Seeing it on TV was not the same. Live theater is so much better, as you know.
Sadly, I think I will never see it, also I think I would have loved it!
You never know, Carol. You never know.
