Heading home today after a wonderful trip to Amish /Mennonite Country in Indiana. My Mom and sisters and I always enjoy our time together. Other than time with a family, and meeting up with a friend, David Chaudoir, the highlight for me was seeing all the horses and buggies. I love to see the beautiful horses.

Glad you had such a good time. The Heat Dome is here, and we’re supposed to be over 90 through Wednesday, with a high of 100 or higher on Tuesday. While I will always take summer heat over winter cold, that is Just. Too. Hot. We get a fair amount of hot weather, but the last 100 degree day here was July 18, 2012. In fact, most 100 degree days in New York have been in July. 13 of the last 26 100+ degree days have been between July 18 and July 23. The last 100 degree day we had in June was June 27, 1966 (101), which was a very hot summer.
