I just saw the news on Facebook. I am stunned.
I was too, Kevin. That’s where I saw it, first on Terry Shames’ page, and then Jim Ziskin’s. I had missed the news of Peter May’s death last month. It’s one punch after another for mystery readers. And, they’re not even all older authors. He was too young at 59.
I never met Mark Pryor, but his Hugo Marston books were published by Seventh Street Books, which is also my publisher. I connected with him through the SSB authors’ shared blog, and I enjoyed and benefited from his posts. How sad it is that he died so young. My thoughts are with his family.
I never met him either, Kim, but I had heard so much about him from Kaye Barley and The Poisoned Pen. Such a loss.
