As promised, it’s time for the first giveaway of 2020. The books from both series have appeared in the media.

The first title is in honor of M.C. Beaton, who died December 30. Beating About the Bush is the most recent Agatha Raisin mystery, in hardcover. Every time PI Agatha Raisin drives on a motorway bordered by woodlands, she exclaims, “What a good place to dump a body!” Someone agrees with her, and an elderly woman is found dead in the shrubs. While Agatha investigates, she tangles with shrubbery, Russian drinking, and murder. The series is on Acorn TV.

I have two copies of Murder, She Wrote: A Time for Murder by Jessica Fletcher and Jon Land. The fiftieth book in the series brings Jessica Fletcher full circle. She returns to the high school where she once did substitute teaching, attending a retirement party for a former colleague. When that co-worker in killed, it brings back memories of Jessica’s first job and another violent death.
Which book would you like to win? You can enter to win both, but I need separate entries. Email me at Lesa.Holstine@gmail.com. Your subject line should read either “Win Agatha Raisin” or “Win Jessica Fletcher.” Please include your name and mailing address. The contest will end Thursday, January 9 at 5 PM CT. Entries from the U.S. only, please.
Oh I am so sorry to hear of M.C.Beaton's (Marion Chesney) death. I must have missed it over the holidays. I have read everyone of her "Hamish MacBeth mysteries and all but five of her "Agatha Raisin" mysteries as well as a few of her other(older) books. I shall really miss knowing that I could always look forward to a new MacBeth or Raisin book each year. I wonder if she had any waiting to be published, I wish. Thanks for mentioning it.
Pat, I have a friend who read somewhere there is another book waiting for publication. Yes, she died December 30 at the age of 83. I'm sure it was missed over the holidays.
