I'm still working on I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes and for my non-fiction Sapiens.
Just finished THE DESTROYED, fifth in the Jonathan Quinn series by Brett Battles, which started slowly but picked up towards the end. I'd recommend started with the first one, THE CLEANER.
Still reading THE MOST OF NORA EPHRON. What a loss. Also reading CAPITAL CRIMES: London Mysteries, edited by Martin Edwards, with stories ranging from Conan Doyle (not a Holmes story) to Golden Age authors like Anthony Berkeley and H. C. Bailey. And I started WHAT THE DOG SAW by Malcolm Gladwell. It's the first of his I've read.
Jeff M.
Just picked up the new Billy Boyle mystery, by James R. Benn, called The White Ghost. This one takes place out in the Solomon Islands and is interesting so far, as always!
CONCRETE ANGEL by somebody named Patricia Abbott. Never have heard of her before.
I just started reading THE FAMILY FANG.
Almost finished with Idyll a Threats by Stephanie Gayle which is very good so far. On my kindle, I've got Sisters In Law by Linda Hirschman in progress. It's fascinating. I'll be picking up the new Karen Slaughter and the new Miranda James today, and Say yes to the Death by Susan MacBride popped up on my kindle last night. If my TBR ever falls, it will be days before they find me.
I recently finished Knot the Usual Suspects by Molly MacRae, Juliet Blackwell's Thr Paris Key, and Hilary Lifton's Movie Star by Lizzie Pepper and have started A Fine Romance, Candice Beegen's second memoir.
The Sword of the South by David Weber and A Full Life by Jimmy Carter.
Just finished "Watching Me" by Michale Robutham, a new author for me.
Started "The Jury Master" by Robert Dugoni also a new author that I learned about recently.
Thank you! What terrific lists. I enjoy seeing the books and authors I'm familiar with, and the ones I haven't yet "met". It's always fun to see what others are reading. I'm lucky to work in the library. When my holds come in, I just have to go downstairs to pick them up. I just picked up 3 from the library – the new Heather Graham, The Hidden. It's a Krewe of Hunters, and I'm addicted to them. I also love Sherryl Woods' Chesapeake Shores novels featuring the O'Brien family. The new one is Willow Brook Road. And, believe it or not, the Christmas novels are starting to come in. Carla Neggers' is A Knights Bridge Christmas. So, whether you look at everyone else's books, and are enticed, or are happy with your own, it's fun to share booklists! Thank you.
Who Says A Corpse Has To Be Dull? by Don Von Elsner. Part of the David Danning series.
Love that title, Glen!
Lesa, you are hitting many of my wife's favorite authors, like Heather Graham and Carla Neggers. She just read the latter's latest Sharp & Donovan book.
Jeff M.
I just finished Nantucket by Nan Rossiter last night. Today starts The Darling Dahlias and the Eleven O'clock Lady by Susan Wittig Albert. I gave up on her China Bayles mysteries after the last one but I still enjoy these.
Just finished White Matter by Janer Sternburg, It must have been a difficult book to write. And today, I am determined to start Looking for Me by Beth Hoffman!
I may have to check out those Sharp & Donovan books, Jeff. I love Heather Graham's Krewe of Hunters! Something about paranormal mysteries interest me. But, I'm not into horror or scary ones.
It's tough to give up on an author you've read for a while, isn't it, Sharon? I've done it, and I know I sometimes should have stopped reading sooner.
I hope you enjoy Beth's book, Carol, but, in that case, we all know I'm prejudiced.
