This week, I have crime novels by Canadian authors. Running from the Dead by Mike Knowles features private detective Sam Jones. Jones’ six-year search for an eight-year-old boy ends with gunshots and cold bodies that lead the police straight to him. He and the boy’s mother both believed he would find the boy alive.
