This week, I’m giving away mysteries featuring private investigators. Let’s start with Matt Goldman’s The Shallows. It features a streetwise, witty detective, Nils Shapiro, who works in Minneapolis. Although this is the third in the series, don’t hesitate to enter. You might fall for Shapiro’s humor and shrewd style as I did. A widow hires Shapiro to investigate her husband’s murder, but she’s not the only one who is concerned. Even the FBI wants Shapiro on the case. Bodies pile up in this convoluted, excellent PI novel.

Or, you could enter to win Carolyn Haines’ Game of Bones, featuring southern private investigator Sarah Booth Delaney. When a ritually murdered corpse is found at the new-found Native American temple right in the center of Sunflower County, Mississippi, the archaeology crew on the dig is under suspicion, especially the handsome leader, Dr. Frank Hafner. With the sheriff eyeing him for murder, Hefner hires the Delaney Detective Agency. Victims start to add up, and Sarah Booth won’t rest until she’s dug up the truth.
Which mystery would you like to win? You can enter to win both, but I need separate entries. Email me at Lesa.Holstine@gmail.com. Your subject line should read either “Win The Shallows” or “Win Game of Bones.” Please include your name and mailing address. The giveaway will end Thursday, July 11 at 5 PM CT. Entries from the U.S. only, please.
