James L’Etoile, Served Cold
I haven’t read any of these–yet! Now I’ll check them all out. I already own Cirque du Slay and haven’t gotten to it. I will, though. I look forward to hearing which of these the rest of you have read.
Like Jeff, I haven’t read any of them. I also knew Bill Gottfried, but I really only met him a couple times.
Don’t know any of them. I did, however, know the late Bill Gottfried, who the award was named for. Good guy. I sold him a lot of British books over the years.
Coincidentally, I heard of Rob Osler just yesterday with a recommendation for The Case of the Missing Maid. It’s a new release featuring a role-breaking female detective in 1890’s Chicago.
That sounds interesting, MM!
In my TBR pile is James L’Etoile’s Served Cold. I am way, way behind. Like always.
Oh, I’m behind, too, Kevin.
Thanks for sharing these, Lesa. I’m not familiar with any of them either, but I will take a look. I’d really like to attend Left Coast Crime one more time. Only got to go once, but we’ll see where it’s taking place in either 2026 or 2027. Actually, think 2026 will be in San Francisco. Would love it if 2027 would be in Phoenix!
Left Coast Crime is just the most comfortable conference, Kay. I think my traveling days are about over. I have one more trip to NY in May, but that’s probably about it for me. I loved Left Coast Crime.
